About me

Who I am, what I do and what I am passionate about.

I am an entrepreneur and chairman of Laboratorios Richmond, an Argentine pharmaceutical company that operates throughout the region, committing on science, technology and industries as the drivers of development. Over the past years, we have built a work culture that has allowed us to innovate and strengthen our lines of drugs to treat complex conditions of specific medical areas, such as oncology, oncohematology and HIV, while also developing vaccines on different biotechnology platforms.

I received my public accountant training at the School of Economics of the University of Buenos Aires (UBA), an institution I am very fond of. In 2021 I was honored to have been named a distinguished alumnus.

Throughout my professional career, I have taken several national and international postgraduate courses, including the Owner/President Management Program and Changing the Game: Negotiating and Competitive Decision Making, both at Harvard Business School; the Senior Management course at IAE Business School, Austral University; the Strategic Finance for Small Businesses Program at Harvard University; and the Executive Program for Growing Companies at Stanford Business School.

I am convinced that our country’s scientific expertise is among the best in the world. That is why I encourage cooperation between different areas in the private sector so that Argentine science and technology can be strengthened throughout the country and can reach all corners of the world with their breakthroughs.

As an active member of the Argentine Chamber of Biotechnology, I foster this sector, so relevant for our country, which has flourished in recent years. I am also a member of the Latin American Association of Pharmaceutical Industries, one of the most significant organizations in the industry.

I serve in each of these positions to ensure Argentina becomes a hub for the production of biotechnology and vaccines. The pandemic taught us all a huge lesson: it allowed for us to see the strategic role of our industry, which did not only rise up to the occasion, but also made visible the scope of our scientific capacity, which is on a par with the best in the world.

Beyond my professional and work life, I am a proud father, a happy grandfather, and a River Plate supporter. I have been married for 14 years to María Laura, a devoted woman who has been working with Fundación Richmond on several initiatives so as to continue contributing to the community and to step up our commitment to the country.

Sports

I am passionate about sports. I have run triathlons and marathons in different countries, I swim, and I play tennis, golf and football. Besides the benefits of physical exercise, sport teaches a great deal about temperance and effort: you realize that there is a goal ahead and become aware of everything you have to do to achieve it.
